Goosebumps!!
When you feel a strong emotion, like love or fear, or when you are exposed to extreme cold, the hair on your skin tend to straighten and stand up. It's a part of fight or flight response of the body.
So I realize I've been experiencing goosebumps quite a lot in recent times. Earlier it was more due to the drop in temperature and few positive emotions of love and care. But now, I feel them daily on an average of 3-4 times. The strongest and the most unexpected one I had was speaking to a new friend of mine, for the very first time, that too on the telephone. She was sharing her experience of resolving some old misunderstandings she had had with her childhood friends and finally they being on good terms in the present. Listening to this, almost all of my body hair, arms, forearms, thighs, calves where like the bumps on a goose. The hair standing erect with small bumps at the skin level.
It kind of caught my attention the very second I had experienced it. I was puzzled for having such strong emotional response to someone else's happiness, someone I was speaking to the very first time.
And, that was the beginning of a response which was going to become a major part of my emotional reaction, me experiencing for everything or anything that wrung the strings of my heart.
